“ Enjoyable quaint roadside bar and restaurant, admirably kept open even though the #1 Pacific Coast highway has been closed for years, with very little traffic. ”
“ My dog and I had a great time here on our road trip back up the 1. They have indoor seating and an outdoor patio surrounded by plants. :) The waitresses were friendly and prompt with making sure we had what we needed, and I thought the food was yummy. I had a tuna melt with fries, and they were willing to make me an Arnold Palmer even though that wasn’t specifically on the menu, but they serve lemonade and iced tea. The view was gorgeous, and there were 2 mini markets for snacks and things. A gas station was also there... which was convenient but the price of gas was twice anywhere else, which makes sense since this is in a remote area but I cried a little about the gas prices as I refilled my tank. My dog also really appreciated when the waitress skillfully asked if she could have a piece of bacon - which I also appreciated. She made sure to hide it behind her back to make sure it was ok first before she gave my dog the bacon strip, and then came back later with a second piece “for the road!” All in all: The food was yummy, the place was clean, and the waitress was kind to both my dog and I. I’d definitely return here. ”
“ Very polite staff. I ordered a salmon and onion omelet. It was wonderful! The view of the ocean is blocked quite a bit by the decorations, but still a nice place for a meal. Outdoor seating is available. ”
“ Nice place to pee. I didn't eat here. Looked like a nice, little place to eat. Has outdoor seating that overlooks the ocean. For whale watching, I assume. ”
“ First time on the Pacific Coast. We are from West Virginia and drove ALL the way there. The restaurant was beautiful, cool, airy and a delight. ”
“ My experience here was fantastic. My mom and I stopped for lunch while exploring the Big Sur area. We got the fish and chips with iced tea and it hit the spot. Very fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced for the portion size and location of the restaurant. We had unobstructed views of the ocean from the dining area and the service was great. Would definitely recommend stopping here! ”
“ Great place to stop to refuel on your way along highway 1. Coffee was hot and strong, and the steak and eggs was wholesome and tasty. Would definitely stop at the cafe for lunch or dinner on a future trip. Service was also good. ”
“ Good food and good service with a nice view. It's expensive, which is to be expected in a remote place. ”
